Welcome: Seraina Jäger working on Mastitis Markers

Seraina Jaeger works as a practicing veterinarian for farm and small animals in Scuol, Graubuenden. In July 2015 she started her doctoral thesis supervised by Prof. Paul Torgerson and Dr. Simon Rüegg. In the course of her thesis she investigates the diagnostic properties of acute phase proteins in milk (in particular Amyloid A) in relation to the somatic cell count and bacterial culture in mastitis diagnostics. Furthermore she wants to detect if acute phase proteins in milk would be suitable markers not only for clinical but also for subclinical mastitis.

More details on the project can be found on the project page.
