I grew up in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and completed a MD degree at the University of Kinshasa. Then obtained an MSc in Epidemiology jointly organized between the University of Lubumbashi School of Veterinary Medicine (DRC) and Mweka College of Wildlife Management and Tourism (Tanzania). My master’s thesis focused on Quantitative Microbial Risk Assessment (QMRA) of E. coli infection using wastewater in Kinshasa, the capital city of DRC. Before joining the EBPhD program I was working as the country Manager for Africa One Health University Network (AFROHUN) implementing the USAID One Health Workforce Next generation project. Under this project I worked with government ministries, the national One Health platform, funding partners and University members for in-service professionals and preservice students One Health capacity development.  During the same period, I worked as a researcher in the departments of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Kinshasa School of Public Health. My PhD project is focusing on the operationalization and evaluation of One Health platforms in Guinea and Democratic Republic of Congo under the supervision of Simon Ruegg at the University of Zurich.
