Postdoc: Epidemiology and Economics of Livestock Associated-Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus in the Danish pig population

Responsibilities and tasks

The primary task of the postdoc is to do epidemiological and economic analysis of LA-MRSA in the Danish pig population. Both using existing data, as well as through planning and conducting further studies. The post doc will also be responsible for conducting an economic impact assessment of the consequences of LA-MRSA and the suggested control actions on the Danish agri-food sector. The post doc is expected to provide epidemiological and statistical support in other work packages of the project. The postdoc must assist in the general management of the project.

The candidate will be part of the staff of Section for Epidemiology and will be involved in other activities such as teaching and public sector consultancy.

Qualifications

The candidate is expected to have: 1. A PhD degree or an equivalent training in veterinary epidemiology, animal health economics, animal sciences or similar relevant fields. 2. Documented experience in conducting and publishing statistical/epidemiological analyses. 3. Experience in conducting (health) economic assessment. 4. Experience with the statistical software R will be an advantage. 5. Good collaboration skills. 6. The ability to work organized, structured and independently. 7. Good publication activities of research results in international peer-reviewed journals.
